Steps

  1. Cream the shortening, butter and sugar.
  2. Add egg & egg yolk. Then add vanilla.
  3. Sift flour and salt together.
  4. Add flour mixture to butter mixture.
  5. Roll into 1 inch balls, dip in egg white mixed with water. Roll in crushed nuts.
  6. Press indent into middle of cookie. Fill with ½ tsp of raspberry jam.
  7. Bake @ 350 for 10-12 minutes
