Ingredients ½ cup butter ½ cup shortening ½ cup brown sugar packed 1 whole egg 1 egg yolk (reserve white) 1 tsp vanilla 2 cup flour ½ tsp salt ¾ cup chopped or crushed nuts
Steps Cream the shortening, butter and sugar. Add egg & egg yolk. Then add vanilla. Sift flour and salt together. Add flour mixture to butter mixture. Roll into 1 inch balls, dip in egg white mixed with water. Roll in crushed nuts. Press indent into middle of cookie. Fill with ½ tsp of raspberry jam. Bake @ 350 for 10-12 minutes
